Free radicals occur naturally as byproducts of oxidation, such as breathing and eating.
It is normal for free radicals to be present in your body in small numbers. However, when they accumulate, they may affect the normal functioning of your body, including your body's metabolism. In addition, free radicals increase the toxicity in your body. Toxins in your body affect the health of your cells, specifically the acid-and-alkaline level (pH level) of your body chemistry. Excess acidity impairs cellular health, creating food cravings and high sugar levels.
The truth of the matter is that weight loss is not just eating less. It is about the type of food you eat. The main sources of acidification is your diet. Avoid animal proteins (they are more difficult for digestion and assimilation, and hence creating toxins), cereals, and sugars. Lifestyle changes are required, such as drinking (alcohol and caffeinated drinks) and smoking. Also, stress may change your brain chemistry, creating food cravings and eating disorders.
Foods that fight free radicals include: chlorella (an alga containing high levels of chlorophyll) and garlic. Go on an acid-alkaline diet.
Therefore, weight loss has to do with your body's toxicity and its pH level, not just the amount of food consumed.
Always eat super foods. Preferably, go organic, or you may even start your own organic garden to eliminate as much toxin as possible from your diet.
